Who Is the Right Candidate for Thyroid Ablation? | Dr Ajit Yadav
Not every thyroid nodule needs surgery — and not every thyroid nodule is suitable for ablation.

Thyroid ablation, including Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), may be considered for selected patients with benign thyroid nodules that are causing:

• Neck pressure or discomfort
• Difficulty swallowing
• A visible neck lump or cosmetic concern
• Symptoms due to an enlarged nodule
• Certain overactive thyroid nodules, after appropriate evaluation

Before considering thyroid ablation, the nodule needs proper assessment with ultrasound, thyroid function tests and appropriate biopsy/cytology evaluation.

The goal of ablation is to reduce the size of the nodule while avoiding removal of the entire thyroid gland in appropriately selected patients.

If you have been diagnosed with a thyroid nodule and are wondering whether thyroid ablation or surgery is right for you, consult an experienced specialist for an individual assessment.

Thyroid Ablation Workshop Highlights 2026 | Dr Ajit Yadav
Where Knowledge Meets Precision

A valuable day of learning, collaboration and clinical expertise at the Thyroid Ablation Workshop, held on 22 August 2026.

Thyroid ablation is an evolving minimally invasive treatment approach for appropriately selected thyroid nodules. Techniques such as Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) require careful patient selection, precise image guidance, technical expertise and structured follow-up.

This workshop brought together medical professionals to share knowledge, discuss clinical approaches and strengthen expertise in thyroid nodule ablation and image-guided minimally invasive procedures.

Knowledge. Precision. Collaboration. Better Patient Care.

Thyroid Nodules: Know the Signs of a High-Risk Nodule | Dr Ajit Yadav

Found a thyroid nodule on your ultrasound? Don’t panic — most thyroid nodules are benign. But some features may require closer evaluation.

A thyroid nodule may need further assessment when there are suspicious findings such as:

• Solid or markedly hypoechoic appearance
• Irregular or infiltrative margins
• Microcalcifications
• Taller-than-wide shape
• Suspicious lymph nodes in the neck
• A history of childhood neck radiation or thyroid cancer in close family members

A thyroid ultrasound helps assess the nodule’s characteristics and determine whether further evaluation, such as Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) biopsy, may be appropriate.

Remember: A thyroid nodule does not automatically mean cancer. Only a proper clinical evaluation and appropriate investigations can determine the level of risk. Most thyroid nodules are non-cancerous.

If you have recently been diagnosed with a thyroid nodule, discuss your ultrasound findings with a qualified specialist.

From Severe Pain to Relief: A 38-Year-Old Woman’s UFE Journey | Dr Ajit Yadav

38-year-old Meena’s life was completely normal—until persistent lower abdominal pain started disrupting her routine.

Initially, she thought it was just gas or ordinary stomach pain. But when the pain kept returning, she consulted a doctor.

An ultrasound revealed uterine fibroids.

Concerned about major surgery, Meena was referred to an Interventional Radiologist, who explained a minimally invasive treatment option: Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE).

During UFE, a small catheter is used to block the blood supply to the fibroids. As their blood supply decreases, fibroids can gradually shrink and symptoms may improve.

For appropriately selected patients, UFE can offer an alternative to major surgery.

If fibroids are affecting your daily life, don’t ignore the symptoms. Talk to a qualified specialist to understand your treatment options.

Same Thyroid Nodule, Different Treatment — Here’s Why | Dr Ajit Yadav
Thyroid Nodule Does NOT Always Mean Surgery
A thyroid nodule does not automatically mean surgery.

Even if two patients have the same-sized nodule, their treatment may be completely different.

Why? Because treatment depends on more than just size. Doctors consider:

• Whether the nodule is benign or cancerous
• Ultrasound findings
• FNA/biopsy results
• Symptoms and growth of the nodule

If cancer is confirmed or strongly suspected, surgery remains an important standard treatment in appropriate cases.

For selected benign thyroid nodules, minimally invasive treatment options may also be considered.

Remember: Same size ≠ Same treatment.

Thyroid Nodule Se Awaaz Badalti Hai? | Thyroid Nodule & Voice Change | Dr Ajit yadav

Proper evaluation may include clinical examination, thyroid ultrasound, thyroid function tests and, when indicated, FNAC or further assessment.

Remember: हर thyroid nodule cancer नहीं होता, लेकिन सही evaluation ज़रूरी है.

drrajityadav.ir When ChatGPT Gives Medical Advice... But Your Interventional Radiologist Knows Better

We’ve all heard this one.

AI can help you find information, explain medical terms, and point you toward possible answers.

But when it comes to your health, diagnosis and treatment, context matters.

Your symptoms, medical history, scans, reports and overall health can completely change what treatment is appropriate.

So before making a medical decision based on something you read online:

Ask a qualified medical professional.

Because healthcare isn’t one-size-fits-all.

And yes... your Interventional Radiologist has studied this for years.

Bulging Veins? It Could Be More Than Just a Cosmetic Problem | Dr Ajit Yadav
After standing all day, do your legs feel heavy, tired, painful or swollen?

Those prominent, twisted veins may be more than just a cosmetic concern. Varicose veins can be associated with:

• Leg pain and heaviness
• Swelling, especially by evening
• Night-time cramps
• Aching or discomfort after prolonged standing
• Visible, enlarged veins

The good news? Not every patient needs open surgery.

Modern varicose vein ablation is a minimally invasive treatment in which ultrasound guidance is used to access and close the problematic vein. It generally involves no large incision and no stitches, and many suitable patients can return home the same day.

If your legs regularly feel heavy or tired, or you notice increasingly prominent veins, don't simply rely on painkillers or creams. Get your veins properly evaluated.

Consult an Interventional Radiologist to understand whether varicose vein ablation may be suitable for you.

Thyroid से जुड़ी कौन-कौन सी बीमारियाँ होती हैं? | Dr Ajit Yadav
