🌿 Promoting Ayurvedic Wellness for Our Guardians of Security! 🌿
In alignment with the guidelines of the Ministry of Ayush and the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), New Delhi, the National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH), Hyderabad, successfully organised a special Ayurveda Public Awareness Program & Lecture at the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) BDL, Bhanur unit on 25-08-2026.
The program aimed to inspire CISF officers and jawans to adopt an Ayurveda-based lifestyle, emphasising health preservation, natural living, and disease prevention.
✨ Key Highlights of the Event:
Keynote Address: Dr G. P. Prasad, M.D., PhD (Ayurveda), Assistant Director-in-Charge, NIIMH, delivered an insightful lecture covering core Ayurvedic principles, including Dincharya (daily routine), Ritucharya (seasonal routine), and balanced Sattvic nutrition for managing both common and complex health conditions.
Interactive Q&A Session: Dr G. P. Prasad, alongside Dr Santosh Mane, Research Officer (Ayurveda), NIIMH, answered health queries from CISF personnel, offering practical, scientific and Ayurvedic solutions.
Awareness Outreach: Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials and pamphlets on home remedies and holistic health were distributed by Mr K. Srinivas Rao, Library & Information Assistant, NIIMH.
Green Initiative: NIIMH gifted a variety of medicinal plants to enrich the CISF BDL Bhanur campus garden, reinforcing environmental conservation and herbal awareness.
The program was conducted under the leadership and guidance of Shri C. Sriram Tejaswi (Deputy Commandant, CISF Unit, BDL Bhanur), with active participation from Shri Arshad Ali Khan (Assistant Commandant/Fire), Shri Uday Baviskar (Inspector), and a large gathering of dedicated CISF personnel.
The session concluded with CISF officers and jawans expressing their sincere appreciation for NIIMH’s health initiative and pledging to incorporate Ayurvedic principles into their daily lives for a healthier, more balanced lifestyle! 🧘♂️🌱
