Water therapy in summers = your body’s AC + reset button 💦
When it’s 40°C+ outside, water does more than just cool you off. Here’s how to use it right 👇
3 Types of "Water Therapy" That Actually Work
Internal: Hydration Therapy
Goal: Replace what sweat steals. You lose 1-2L/hour in peak heat.
How: Don’t chug plain water only. You need electrolytes too.
Summer recipe: 1L water + pinch of salt + lemon + 1 tsp honey/jaggery OR coconut water OR chaas with jeera.
Pro tip: P*e color = report card. Pale yellow = good. Dark yellow = drink up.
External: Cool-Down Therapy
Goal: Drop core body temp fast, prevent heat exhaustion.
How:
- Foot soak: 10 min in cool water lowers whole body temp. Add mint/eucalyptus for extra chill.
- Cold compress: Wet gamcha on neck, wrists, behind knees — major blood vessels = fast cooling.
- Shower trick: Start lukewarm, end with 30sec cool water. Prevents shock + boosts circulation.
Avoid: Ice baths right after coming from heat. Body freaks out. Cool, not freezing.
Activity: Aqua Therapy
Goal: Move without overheating or joint stress.
How: Swimming, aqua aerobics, even walking in waist-deep water.
Why summer loves it: Water takes weight off joints + keeps you cool while burning calories. 30 min pool = cardio without heatstroke risk.
Big Summer Mistakes to Skip
Chugging ice water after being in sun: Can cause stomach cramps. Sip room temp → cool.
Only drinking when thirsty: Thirst = already 2% dehydrated. Set reminders.
Cold shower for fever/heatstroke: If someone’s confused/fainting, that’s a medical emergency. Cool them slowly + call a doctor. Don’t dunk in ice.
"Summer rule: Hydrate like it’s your job 💧 Brain fog, fatigue, headaches? Water fixes 90% of it "
