Scabies is a highly contagious skin infestation caused by the microscopic mite Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. Scabies spreads mainly through prolonged skin-to-skin contact with an infected person and, less commonly, through sharing clothing, bedding, or towels. It can affect people of all ages and socioeconomic groups and is common in crowded living conditions. Diagnosis is based on clinical examination and, in some cases, identification of mites or eggs from skin scrapings. Treatment involves the use of prescription scabicidal medications, such as permethrin cream or oral ivermectin, along with treating close contacts and washing or isolating contaminated clothing and bedding to prevent reinfestation. Early diagnosis and proper treatment are important to control the spread of the disease.

Why does the system seem so different for powerful industrialists and ordinary citizens?

If ₹22,000 crore can reportedly be settled for around ₹6.5 crore, what about the middle class and lower-income people who struggle to repay their personal loans and face pressure and humiliation from banks?

Middle-class taxpayers pay their taxes honestly. Are we paying taxes to fund the losses of powerful borrowers?

Meanwhile, we see pothole-filled roads, collapsing bridges, and severe damage from floods.
