You can spend an hour working out every morning…
…and still spend most of your day sitting.
That’s the part many people overlook.
Your health isn’t determined only by what happens during your workout. What you do in the 10–12 hours around it matters too.
Long periods of sitting and very little movement throughout the day can work against your metabolic health, energy and blood sugar regulation.
So instead of waiting for your next workout, build movement into your day:
- Walk while taking a phone call
-Take a short movement break every hour
-🪜Choose the stairs when possible
- Do a few calf raises while brushing your teeth
- Take a 5–10 minute walk after meals
These may seem like tiny actions, but repeated throughout the day, they can add up to meaningful movement.
Think beyond exercise.
Think NEAT — the movement you do outside your planned workouts.
Your body was designed to move regularly, not sit for hours and then try to compensate with one workout.
Start small. Move often. Make it part of how you live.
