It was an honour to host Dr. Kavipriya, State Nodal Officer, Puducherry, during her visit to the Mobile Dental Clinic unit at MAIDS. She interacted with the entire mobile dental team, reminiscing about her inspiring 14-year journey—beginning with the Mobile Dental Clinic and now serving as the SNO, Puducherry.

Dr. Kavipriya shared valuable insights, challenges faced on-ground, and strategic approaches adopted for strengthening outreach dental services. Her journey stands as a testament to dedication, perseverance, and impactful leadership in oral health.

Delhi Launches Mobile Dental Clinic on World Oral Health Day
March 20, 2025 | New Delhi

On the occasion of World Oral Health Day 2025, the Mobile Dental Clinic Project initiative was officially launched by the Hon’ble Health Minister of GNCT of Delhi, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh and other imminent dignitarie, under the National Health Mission (NHM). The program is supported by the Delhi State Health Mission (DSHM) and is being executed by Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS).

This strategic initiative is aimed at addressing oral health inequalities, improving access to quality dental care, and reducing the burden of oral diseases across underserved communities in Delhi.

The mobile clinic is equipped to deliver comprehensive dental care, including screenings, treatments, and to***co cessation counselling, directly at the community level—reaching schools, slums, anganwadis, and remote areas of delhi and making available quality dental care.

The launch signifies Delhi’s strong commitment to universal oral health coverage and integration of oral health into the broader public health framework.

Project Amma - focuses on geriatric oral healthcare under the umbrella of Mobile Dental Clinic Project. To address geriatric oral health needs the team organizes regular dental screening, oral health promotion to referral and appropriate dental care. Free complete and removable partial denture are being given to needy people through an outsourcing model.

Today the team led by Dr. Shipra delivered an upper and lower removable partial denture in Seelampur in the mobile dental clinic. Bridging smiles across miles in Delhi.
