Many times, it’s linked to low iron, low ferritin and B12 levels.

Low iron & ferritin → reduced oxygen supply to tissues → under-eye area starts looking darker, dull, and tired.

Low B12 → poor red blood cell formation + uneven skin tone → that greyish pigmentation becomes more visible under your eyes.

And because the skin under your eyes is the thinnest, it shows these deficiencies first.

This is why eye creams don’t fix the problem.
Because the root cause is internal.

This “super fruit” I spoke about is 👇
loquat (lokat)
and honestly, it became a staple in my PCOS summers.

As a nutritionist, I don’t randomly label foods as “good” or “bad” — it’s about how you eat them.

Why I prefer loquat for PCOS / hormonal balance:

• It contains triterpenes (like ursolic-type compounds)
→ studied for anti-inflammatory and metabolic support

• It’s rich in flavonoids & phenolic compounds
→ help reduce oxidative stress, which is often elevated in PCOS

• It has carotenoids (beta-carotene)
→ supports skin, immunity, and reproductive health

• Unlike juices or dried fruits, it gives fibre
→ slows glucose absorption and prevents sudden spikes

This is why I always have it as:
👉 2–4 loquats with nuts/seeds or curd
NOT as juice (you lose the fibre + impact changes)

It also works really well for:
• PMS cravings (sweet-tangy, dessert replacement)
• Summer fatigue (light, hydrating, easy to digest)

Small habits like these made a big difference in my journey —
and yes, they still continue.

⚠️ India Heat Wave Warning ⚠️
This is not just “feeling hot.” This is physiological stress on your body

In extreme heat, your body loses fluids, electrolytes, and digestive strength much faster. This can lead to dehydration, heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke if not managed properly.

Common symptoms to watch: fatigue, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps, excessive sweating, or fainting. In severe cases, very high body temperature, confusion, seizures, or coma.

Please look out for these signs:

• Loose motions or stomach upset
Heat + dehydration + outside food can disturb digestion

• Burning urine or UTI-like discomfort
Low water intake makes urine more concentrated, increasing burning sensation

• Skin rashes and prickly heat
Sweat, friction, and heat can trigger itching and redness

• Headache and dizziness
Often due to fluid and salt loss

• Extreme fatigue and low energy
Body works harder to cool itself

• Acidity and nausea
Tea, coffee, spicy or fried food + dehydration can worsen this

• Constipation or bloating
Low water + heavy meals slow digestion

• Heat exhaustion
Weakness, dizziness, nausea, sweating, fast heartbeat need immediate cooling and fluids

• Heat stroke risk
Very high body temperature, confusion, fainting or seizures is a medical emergency

This is why basic “healthy eating” is not enough right now
