During a time of urgent need, when the Blood Centre, Associated Hospital, Government Medical College Doda, was facing a shortage of B Positive (B+) blood, Mr. Javed Iqbal (Technician), Department of Pathology, GMC Doda, stepped forward and donated a unit of blood.

His act is a true reflection of the spirit of service and humanity. The staff of the institution has always remained at the forefront of helping patients in their time of need, often going beyond their routine duties to save lives.

🩸A proud moment of humanity and compassion 🌸🩸

Ms. Reena Devi W/o Santosh Kumar, R/o Khellani, Doda, once again stepped forward for the noble cause of saving lives by voluntarily donating her precious unit of blood for a needy patient.

This marks her 4th Blood Donation, as she had already donated 03 blood units earlier, proving her commitment towards humanity and social responsibility.

After donating, Ms. Reena shared her heartfelt views and gave a strong message to the public, encouraging everyone to come forward and donate blood, as a single unit can save multiple precious lives.

Her inspiring words remind us all that:
“Blood cannot be manufactured in any factory, it can only come from a generous donor.”

A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organised today, 25 June 2026, at NTPHC Khellani, Doda, in association with the Department of Health & Family Welfare Doda (Block Assar) and Blood Centre AH GMC Doda. The camp was conducted with tremendous support from the CMO Office Doda and Government Medical College Doda for providing the staff for the event.

The SSB jawans enthusiastically participated in the camp and donated blood units for the noble cause of serving society and saving precious lives. Their selfless contribution reflects the spirit of humanity and service.
