Dombivli women's Welfare Society and its youth wing Naya Savera, a registered organization, was founded in 2012 with the intention of getting like minded people to work together towards a common goal and that is, upliftment and empowerment of women, enriching life of Girl Child and better understanding between different sectors of society. It's aim is to help women realize their worth, educate the
m, instill confidence and courage in them, and thus help in having happy families and a better society. We have a youth wing Naya Savera and kids as young as three years old merrily join us on our social activities. We work beyond socioeconomic divides and tap energy reserves that children and women have, to evolve as a developed society in the real sense. We have supported 12 tribal schools around Badlapur, Titwala and Shahapur and pledge to work towards tribal upliftment. We celebrate International Women's Day, March 8th with a different theme every year. We are one of the few Organizations who celebrate International Men's Day on November 19th every year. We are the only organization which successfully started 'Fun Street' in Dombivli on Phadke road which was flagged by the then honourable Commissioner of KDMC Shri. It was first of its kind for people staying beyond Thane to Kasara Karjat. We are one of the first few Organizations to celebrate International Day for Girl Child every year on October 11th since it was announced by United Nations in 2012. Every month we give gifts and food to mothers who deliver baby girls and to those with boys after they promise respectful attitude towards girls, in the municipal hospital in Shastrinagar Dombivli west. We are a constant support to orphanages and homes for differently abled children. Gender Sensitization is done with a goal of changing the mindset of masses and is done in various ways like lectures since 2010, power point presentations, street plays etc. Clean City Drive and Anti Spitting Campaigns started in 2012 and we are incessantly and tirelessly working towards it. We created green patches in places of garbage dumps in seven places in Dombivli east and west. Six years later today in 2021 four places are still garbage free and three places which have huge slum areas in the vicinity are a challenge which we are ready to take. Under our Anti Spitting Campaign we have launched a Spit Basin Project in 2021 and successfully constructed four Spit Basins in two villages of Maharashtra. The second village was taken up for Spit Basin Project on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti this year. Every year on 2nd October we conduct rallies or some public event to create awareness about Spit Free Towns and we promise to continue working relentlessly towards this goal. We are on a mission since January 2021, Mission Menstrual Hygiene (MMH of DWWS Naya Savera) wherein we are educating girls and women about hygienic practices in Red Days of a woman. We are educating the masses about menstruation being a natural phenomenon and to remove the taboo around it. We proudly announce that we have successfully floated the 'Brilliant Butterflies Club' for girls under 14 years of age on the Happy Occasion of International Day of Girl Child on 11th October 2021! All young girls are welcome to the activities of this BB Club. We are strong with 100 members now and 50 in the youth wing
We seek support and blessings for our cause! Team DWWS Naya Savera and Brilliant Butterflies Club
