World Asthma Day awareness program was conducted on 5th may 2026 by lisie College of pharmacy and pulmonology medicine in lisie cancer centre with the objective of promoting better understanding, prevention, and management of asthma. The event began with a warm welcome to all attendees, highlighting the importance of the day and the need to spread awareness about asthma as a manageable condition with proper care and support.
The dignitaries present at the event included Rev. Fr. Dr. Vargese Ambalathingal, Joint Director of LMEI, and Rev. Fr. Reju Kannampuzha, Executive Director of LCC. They were warmly welcomed along with the doctors and staff members from the Pulmonary Department, the Cancer Centre, and all gathered participants.
The highlight of the program was the messages delivered by Dr. Paramez, Senior Consultant in Pulmonary Medicine, and Rev. Fr. Reju Kannampuzha. They spoke about the significance of World Asthma Day, the importance of awareness, early diagnosis, and proper management of asthma. Their insightful words helped deepen understanding among the audience.
Following the talk, students from Lisie College of Pharmacy presented a meaningful performance aimed at raising awareness about asthma. The performance was heartfelt and effectively conveyed the message of care, prevention, and empathy for those affected by the condition.
The program concluded with a note of gratitude, expressing sincere thanks to the Rev. Fathers, doctors, staff from the Pulmonary Department, and the students from the pharmacy college for their valuable contributions in making the event a success.
After the formal session, a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) session was announced for interested participants. The test was conducted by the Pulmonary Department in the waiting area. Attendees who wished to undergo the test were directed to proceed to the designated area.
