From Recurrent Pregnancy Loss to a Healthy Baby Girl

A 36-year-old woman with a history of a deep cervical tear during her first delivery had three subsequent pregnancy losses, despite a cervical stitch during pregnancy.

Because she was unable to carry the pregnancy until the usual time for cervical cerclage, we planned a laparoscopic cerclage before pregnancy.

1. Cerclage placed before conception
2. Pregnancy achieved in the 2nd IUI cycle
3. Stitch remained effective throughout pregnancy
4. Pregnancy successfully carried to 36 weeks
5. Elective Caesarean delivery
