Aman’s selection has been formally confirmed through the Administrative Sanction issued by the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, dated 7 September 2026. The Indian contingent comprises 24 athletes, two coaches and one support staff member, selected from different parts of the country. The Sports Authority of India has also issued financial sanction for the participation of the national contingent in the international championship.
Aman’s selection is a matter of great pride for his family, ADM Senior Secondary School, the Ashray Deaf Resource Centre, SPIN, Faridabad and Haryana. His achievement demonstrates the potential of Deaf and hard-of-hearing students when educational support, communication access, sporting opportunities, mentoring and encouragement are provided consistently.
Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Sanjay Verghese, Executive Secretary, SPIN, said:
“Aman’s selection to represent India is a very proud moment for all of us. We are delighted that a student connected with both ADM Senior Secondary School and the Ashray Deaf Resource Centre has reached the national level and will now represent the country internationally. His achievement shows what is possible when educational institutions, specialised support centres, teachers, coaches and families work together to recognise and nurture the abilities of Deaf young people. We wish Aman and the entire Indian contingent every success in Malaysia.”
The Ashray Deaf Resource Centre (ADRC), operated by Serving People in Need (SPIN) in Faridabad, supports the education, development and inclusion of Deaf and hard-of-hearing children and young adults, including communication and learning support through Indian Sign Language.
SPIN congratulates Aman Singh, ADM Senior Secondary School, his coaches, teachers and family, and extends its best wishes to the entire Indian Deaf Athletics Team for the forthcoming championship in Penang.
