🔊Today, yet again, I saw a patient with severe topical steroid abuse—marked skin atrophy, unwanted facial hair (hirsutism), and damage that could have been prevented.

💁It made me wonder: if people are confident enough to self-medicate based on information available online, why don't they also find the countless warnings about the dangers of applying potent steroid creams such as Betnovate, Quadriderm, Fourderm, and similar combination creams indiscriminately on the face?

🌐The internet provides both information and misinformation. Unfortunately, many people stop reading after finding a quick "solution" and ignore the long-term consequences. A few days of temporary relief can lead to months or even years of difficult treatment.
