Yes — There are 3 types of strength every woman needs after 30 to feel truly strong… but most women only train one.
Here I'm breaking it down for you 👇
1. Physical strength.
This is your ability to lift, push, pull and carry.
How to build it:
Progressive strength training — squats, rows, presses, deadlifts — and gradually challenge yourself with more resistance.
2. Stability — and this is where yoga comes in.
Strength isn't just about producing force. It’s also about controlling your body while you move.
Yoga can help you work on balance, mobility, control and body awareness — while exercises like single-leg movements, controlled lunges and core work challenge your stability.
And don't forget your mind.
Even a few minutes of meditation can help you build the habit of slowing down, noticing your body and managing stress rather than constantly running on autopilot.
3. Functional strength.
This is the strength you actually use in everyday life.
Getting up from the floor. Carrying groceries. Climbing stairs. Picking something up. Maintaining your posture when you're tired.
How to build it:
Train movements that look like real life — squatting, hinging, carrying, pushing, pulling, stepping and getting up and down from the floor.
Because after 30, being truly strong isn't just about how much you can lift.
It’s about having a body that’s strong, stable, capable — and a mind that knows how to slow down too.
