You cant imagine where I found my new dig site. Most unexpected of all places, just a 30 min drive from the hustle bustle of the Millenium City called Gurgaon.
It was an early 5:30am walk into the Aravali range and getting a glimpse of the morning sunlight.
Along the way I came across the unmistakable shine of Quartz when the morning sun fell upon it. Picked a beautiful raw chunk.
The real surprise was a recent dig that was done to make a water body next to a temple complex.
As I walked across I could see the ground shine from a distance. It wasn’t chunks of Quartz that you normally get, they were proper intact Quartz points just sitting out there waiting to be picked up. The most spectacular piece was a Quartz sceptre 🤩
Returned to the site a week later with a dear friend with more digging gear, we dug wherever we saw the slightest shine and yes there was always Quartz and proper points.
Scanned the area and dug at various place and ended the day with a large collection of almost 5 kg of Quartz points. Yes thats a lot.
