Food Habits You Inherit From Your Family
Many of our eating habits are learned at home. From childhood, we adopt food preferences, meal timings, portion sizes, and even attitudes toward food from our family environment.
Some habits can be beneficial, while others may unknowingly affect health over time. Finishing every bite despite being full, frequent snacking, or relying heavily on fried foods are common examples.
As a dietician, I encourage people to evaluate their food habits objectively. Not every tradition needs to be changed, but some habits may need improvement to support modern health goals.
