1️⃣ Eat only when truly hungry
– Don’t pile food over undigested food. Skipping a meal is better than eating on a heavy stomach. (Langhana)
2️⃣ Sip warm water or light herbal tea
– Helps dissolve and flush Ama. Avoid cold water & chilled drinks.
3️⃣ Prefer light & warm foods
– Khichdi, thin moong dal, light soups.
– Avoid fried, dairy-heavy, or processed food till digestion feels stronger. (Laghu, Ushna ahara)
4️⃣ Use digestion-boosting spices
– Add a pinch of dry ginger, ajwain, cumin, or black pepper in meals to kindle Agni (Dipana-Pachana).
5️⃣ Gentle sweating activities
– Light walk, yoga, or warm bath → helps remove heaviness. (Svedana)
6️⃣ Avoid incompatible food mixes
– No milk with salty, sour, or heavy meals.
– No overeating or eating before previous meal is digested. (Nidana parivarjana)
7️⃣ Watch your signs
– Feeling lightness, hunger returning, no coated tongue → you’re on the right track.
