“Choose ONE intention.
Do ONE sincere act of seva.
Offer ONE heartfelt prayer.
And leave the result to Krishna.”
A simple easy ritual to seek blessings and love
I do this every Janamashtami at midnight
The daan I particularly recommend on this day -
* Milk or dairy products
* Fruits
* Grains/ration
* Or a meal to someone in need
If possible, give it without expecting anything in return. The spiritual significance is not simply the item donated, but the attitude of seva behind it.
Do this on the morning of 4th September
Best done before sunset of 4th September
Can be done anytime on 4th September
I suggest one should offer rose or lotus or any fragrant flowers 🌺
One small Krishna-inspired practice for overall blessings -
Keep a Tulsi plant at home if you already have one. On Janmashtami, offer water respectfully (avoid excessive watering), light a ghee diya nearby and spend a few minutes in prayer.
Then make one practical promise to yourself for the coming year:
“I will do my duty sincerely towards _____ without being consumed by the result.”
This beautifully reflects the central teaching associated with Krishna — focus on your karma and let go of excessive attachment to the outcome .
Have a blessed and happy Janamashtami 🙏🏼
