WITH GRATITUDE — TOGETHER FOR ASSAM 💖💝
What began as a heartfelt appeal for compassion has now reached a deeply meaningful milestone.
Through the collective efforts of SPES’91 Batch Members, WRRIC Arokkiyam Foundation, and the generous hearts who responded on their owm, a total of ₹1,11,000/- has been raised towards the Assam Flood Relief Initiative.
On 9th August 2026, this collective contribution was finally handed over at the office of the Honourable Chief Minister of Assam.
Today, before we close this chapter, we wish to pause—not merely to celebrate the amount raised, but to honour every heart that made it possible.

Before we thank the donors, there is one group that deserves our very special gratitude.
Our SPES’91 Batch Members—our alumni family, our batchmates and the people who came together to initiate this noble cause.
When Assam needed support, you didn’t wait for someone else to act.
You came together. You took the initiative. You opened the door for others to contribute. And you gave this humanitarian effort its first spark.
What followed was a beautiful demonstration of what an alumni community can accomplish when it comes together with a shared sense of responsibility.
From the very first thought of extending a helping hand to Assam, to mobilising support and standing together behind this initiative, SPES’91 showed that the bonds formed decades ago can still become a powerful force for good.

A SPECIAL NOTE OF GRATITUDE TO OUR HONOURABLE GMC MAYOR SIR ✨️🙏🏻
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our Honourable GMC Mayor Sir.
We are deeply grateful not only for helping us secure the appointment with the Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, but for a gesture that touched us even more personally.
Our original plan and collective decision was for the Mayor Sir himself to hand over the cheque.
Instead, he insisted that I personally hand over the contribution to the Honourable Chief Minister Sir.
That simple but profound gesture reflected something much greater than protocol—it reflected humility, encouragement and genuine respect for the collective effort behind this initiative.
Sir, thank you for giving us the honour of carrying this contribution forward ourselves. We shall always remember this gesture with gratitude.

FROM A CAMPAIGN TO A COMMITMENT
The journey may have begun with a simple appeal:
“STAND WITH ASSAM.”
But it became something much bigger because people chose to respond.
From the SPES’91 Batch Members who initiated this effort, to WRRIC Arokkiyam Foundation, to every donor, supporter, well-wisher and person who helped spread the message—this contribution represents a collective act of compassion.
And while ₹1,11,000/- is the figure written on the cheque, the true value of this initiative cannot be measured in rupees.
It is measured in:
Kindness.
Solidarity.
Humanity.
Hope.
We may never know how many lives our contribution will touch. But we know one thing for certain—someone, somewhere, will know that people cared.
Our hearts walked with Assam.
Our hands reached out to Assam.
