ARPA Welcomes the Constitution of Assam Pharmacy Council
The Association of Registered Pharmacist Assam (ARPA) warmly welcomes the official notification issued by the Government of Assam for the constitution of the Assam Pharmacy Council under Section 19 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, with immediate effect (dated 28-01-2026).
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the elected and nominated members of the Council.
This is an important milestone for strengthening the pharmacy profession, safeguarding pharmacists’ rights, and ensuring ethical and quality pharmaceutical services for the people of Assam.
We sincerely hope the newly formed Council will function in a transparent, inclusive, and pharmacist-friendly manner, address long-pending issues, and uplift the professional dignity of registered pharmacists across the state.
ARPA remains committed to standing with pharmacists and working towards a stronger pharmacy system in Assam.
