🌍 A Historic Milestone for Robotic Surgery in Sri Lanka

A proud moment for Swagat Superspeciality Hospital as Prof. Subhash Khanna had the honour of conducting Sri Lanka’s first live robotic surgery workshop at Kings Hospital, Colombo, following formal registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council.

The workshop brought together nearly 65 surgeons and trainees, featuring live robotic TAPP hernia repairs and what was announced as Sri Lanka’s first robot-assisted cholecystectomy, using India’s indigenous SSI Mantra Surgical Robotic System. Dr. Supriya was an integral part of the surgical team.

This remarkable milestone reflects Swagat’s commitment to robotic surgery, advanced surgical training and academic excellence, taking its expertise beyond national borders.
