स्नेहोपनाहाग्निकर्मबन्धनोन्मर्दनानि च ।
स्नायुसन्ध्यस्थिसंप्राप्ते कुर्याद् वायावतन्द्रितः ॥८॥

When Vāta doṣa becomes localized in the snāyu (ligaments/tendinous structures), sandhi (joints), or asthi (bones), Sushruta advises that treatment should be undertaken without delay using appropriate Vāta-pacifying measures.

The verse specifically mentions:
Snehana — oleation/lubrication with suitable oils or fats
Upanāha — therapeutic warm poultice/fomentation or ishtika swedanam

Sharing a clinical radiological follow-up from AgniShalya Ayurvedic Hospital & Research Center.

The patient presented with bilateral knee degenerative changes consistent with Sandhigata Vāta / early osteoarthritic changes.

▶️Before MIAP — 13 August 2026
🔸Mild bilateral medial tibiofemoral joint-space narrowing
🔸Early degenerative changes at the articular margins
🔸Maintained patellofemoral alignment

▶️After MIAP — 26 August 2026
🔸Medial tibiofemoral joint space appears better maintained
🔸Articular margins appear smoother
🔸No obvious progression of degenerative changes
🔸Patellofemoral alignment remains maintained
