*REPORT* International Nurses Day 2026 Celebration

The *International Nurses Day 2026* was successfully celebrated at *Sana Institute of Health Sciences, Hubballi* with great enthusiasm and dignity.

The program began with an invocation by Ms. Anushka Pal, followed by a warm welcome address by Ms. Sharon William.

The inauguration ceremony was conducted by watering the plant, symbolizing growth and care. Mr. Veerupayya Pujar explained the significance of International Nurses Day.

Mr. Gangadhar Shirahatti *introduced the Chief Guest,* and the dignitaries felicitated *Dr. R. Sreevani, Professor & HOD, Department of Psychiatry Nursing, DIMHANS.*

On this occasion, 7 *Best Nurses from 7 different hospitals* were honored for their outstanding service and dedication to the nursing profession. One of the awardees, *Mr. Sunil S Kademani,* shared his valuable thoughts about the nursing profession.

The *Chief Guest* delivered an inspiring address, followed by *Presidential Remarks* from *Mr. Ashraf Ali Bashir Ahmed, Managing Trustee,* and an *encouraging speech by our Principal, Dr. Mahesh Gadag.*

The entire program was smoothly and effectively anchored by Ms. Sanjana and Ms. Ludiya.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Savitri.

The event was a grand success, recognizing the invaluable contribution of nurses in healthcare.

**Good afternoon
Respected sir/madam**
*An educational visit to the Department of Psychology at Karnataka University* Dharwad was organized for students of *B.Sc Nursing, Physiotherapy, and GNM* *Nursing* .
The visit was coordinated by Mrs. Savita Jiddi.
*The primary objective of the visit was to enhance students’ understanding of psychological tests and their practical applications.*
During the session, the Head of the Department, Shivakumar Sir, along with Shanmuk Sir, provided a detailed explanation of various psychological assessments.
The session was highly informative and interactive.
Students were also given the opportunity to participate in practical demonstrations, which helped them gain hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the subject.
*We express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Mahesh Gadag, Academic Director,* for providing us with the valuable opportunity to visit and learn. *We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Husen Sir* for obtaining permission from the university authorities and making this visit possible.

CPR FIRST RESPONDER PROGRAMME – REPORT

A CPR First Responder Programme was conducted at Sana Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Hubballi over two days — Thursday (16/04/2026) and Saturday (18/04/2026) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the college campus.

The session covered the Introduction, essential Criteria, and the CPR Algorithm, followed by a clear and practical demonstration delivered by
Mrs. Bhuvaneswari Ma’am,
Mrs. Gayatri Ma’am,
Mr. Tony Sir, and
Mr. Iranna Sir, demonstrators from KMCRI Hospital, Hubballi.

A total of 158 students actively participated, including
GNM (I Year) – 23 students,
BSc Nursing (I Year) – 45 students, and Paramedical Students (I & II Year) – 90 students, gaining valuable life-saving skills.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Management, Admin Ma’am, Principal Sir, all Teaching and Non-Teaching Faculty, and the Students for their support and participation in making the programme successful.
