In Ayurveda, **Nidra (Sleep)** is one of the **Trayopastambha (Three Pillars of Life)**, along with Ahara (Diet) and Brahmacharya (Balanced Lifestyle). When sleep is proper, the body heals, the mind becomes calm, immunity improves, and all three doshas remain balanced.

Unfortunately, in today's fast-paced lifestyle, late nights, screen exposure, stress, and irregular routines are silently affecting our health. Poor sleep doesn't just make us tiredтАФit can impact digestion, immunity, mental clarity, skin health, emotional balance, and overall vitality.

In this carousel, discover:
тЬи What Nidra means in Ayurveda
тЬи Why sleep is essential for health
тЬи Signs of good sleep
тЬи Warning signs of insufficient sleep
тЬи Ayurvedic recommendations for healthy sleep
тЬи Practical Ayurvedic tips to improve sleep quality

Remember:

ЁЯМ┐ Good sleep is not a luxury.
ЁЯМ┐ It is your body's natural healing process.
ЁЯМ┐ The quality of your tomorrow begins with the quality of your sleep tonight.

Aloe Vera, very useful in treating pitta - vata disorders. Tikta- Madhura rasa and sheeta veerya and has Guru-Snigdha gunas. It is called Kumari (lady) in Ayurveda as it is widely used in women's reproductive issues.used as medicine for PCOD, hypomennorrhea,PMS,uterine disorders & female infertility.
It is commonly used as a face pack but try using it as a first aid for healing wounds,
Make sure to keep the cut leaf open overnight and wash thoroughly as the yellow sticky juice secretes after cutting may cause severe allergies. Ayurvedic Vaidyas use this pulp on wounds after Agnikarma procedure.
This pulp is also a mild purgative. It improves Agni and also acts as Yakrutottejak meaning it improves liver function and bile quality.
But excessive use can cause loose motions.so use cautiously and pregnant women should avoid consuming it.
Since there is a difference in the properties of fresh pulp and aloe juice available in commercial packs, one should start using it after consulting a good Ayurvedic vaidyai.
How do you use Aloe vera??Please comment and let us know.

Let's see Bahawa fruit, this is two feet long, like a pipe with black pulp inside. It is medicinal in nature. It is dissolved in water, purified and used for medicines. This pulp is anulomak i.e. mild laxative. Therefore, it is used as a medicine to relieve constipation and also in Panchakarma procedure called Virechana. Bahawa has wormicidal properties hence it is used in deworming treatment. As discussed yesterday, it is useful in many Pitta aggregated disorders hence the decoction is often given in case of many skin diseases and fungal infections.
It is also used for bath to reduce Itching due to these skin issues.
Due to the beauty of flowers, Bahawa trees are seen everywhere but did you know about these qualities? then please comment and let us know.

Nature has given us not only beauty but also health.

And Amaltash i.e. flow is a beautiful example of this.
It is called 'Argvadha' in Ayurveda, which means 'disease curer'.

Argvadha is the 'madhur ' rasa-vipaka and 'sheeta veerya. Also, it is Mridu, Snigdha and Guru qualities.
Therefore, it reduces pitta and vata doshas.

Amaltash is a mild laxative, hence it is useful in constipation. A decoction made from leaves is given in case of worm infestation.
It is also considered as blood purifier
Therefore, it is used in skin diseases caused by Pitta.
The paste of its leaves is very effective for wound healing without sepsis. This lepam is also useful in fungal infection.
Flowing yellow flowers look very beautiful. In Kerala, it is used in the Vishu Pooja. Anutritious soup could be made from the flowers which is incendiary and digestive.
Can I tell you an interesting fact? It is generally believed that monsoon arrives in 45 to 60 days after the blooming of Aragwadha. That is why it is called a natural indicator of rain.
The pith of the Argvadha fruit is more useful and medicinal. We will see its uses in tomorrow's reel.
