1. Based on Prakriti:

Sabja has Guru (heavy) and Snigdha (unctuous) qualities
Ayurveda says such foods can increase Kapha if digestion (Agni) is weak
- They may help only in Pitta-dominant individuals with good Agni
- In Kapha prakriti or individuals with sedentary lifestyle → may actually promote weight gain or sluggishness.

Daily consumption is prohibited for people with asthama, runny nose, obesity.

2. Based on Season:

Sabja is Sheeta (cooling)- best in Grishma (summer) Season.
Regular use of Sabja seeds in seasons like winter or monsoon can:
Lower digestive fire
Cause Ama formation (toxins due to improper digestion)

3. Quantity (Matra) matters

Excess leads to:
Mandagni (low digestion)
Bloating / heaviness
Kapha aggravation
Ideal dose: ~1–2 tsp soaked seeds

4: Sabja seeds are not the same as chia seeds

They look similar but differ in Ayurvedic properties

5. One of its key effects is that it is:

Daha Shamana- it Relieves burning sensation
Raktaprasadana- it helps purify blood (indirectly via Pitta balance)
Mridu Virechana- Mild laxative
Mutrala- Diuretic

6. How to use:

Take 1–2 teaspoons sabja seeds
Soak in water for 15–20 minutes
Consume with:
Water
Milk

Choosing a career is not just about salary, trends or pressure from society.

According to Ayurveda, understanding your Prakriti can help you understand the kind of work environment, pace and responsibilities that may feel most natural to you.

Acharya Charaka describes an individual with balanced constitution as:

“सममांसप्रमाणस्तु समसंहननो नरः।
दृढेन्द्रियो विकाराणां न बलेनाभिभूयते॥
क्षुत्पिपासातपसहः शीतव्यायामसंसहः।
समपक्ता समजरः सममांसचयो मतः॥”

— Charaka Samhita 21/18–19

This shloka explains the qualities of a well-balanced constitution — strength, stability, endurance, adaptability and proper functioning of body & mind.

The purpose is not to limit yourself to one profession —
but to understand yourself better before choosing a path.

Because work feels very different when it aligns with your nature.

Life happens when someone is born to be a Yogi.
Such a pleasing read.

The magic of Yoga, the focus of mind, the determination, how things fall in place when something is meant to be, how friends stay, how family aligns, good becomes better and better the best.

All positive. All happy. All Serene

If you have someone who is going through a rough patch and needs a safe companion by the side, recommend this to them. 🌸

When I read about the 9 Antarāyās (the 9 obstacles) in the path of Yoga, I kept reading it for a few days, again and again, from different sources.

Because out of those 9, 1 stuck with me. The physical sloth, the mental dullness, the luring of senses, the carelessness, the stagnation, all were understandable.
But, the 7th one- Bhrāntidarśana- The Delusion: it shook me.

This is because when you are on the path of Yoga, you are seeking something that can break the delusions of your day-to-day life. But what if your path towards yoga itself creates delusions?
What if your own practice is keeping you in a delusion that you are better?
What if the knowledge that you gained is just feeding your ego?
What if you are in a delusion that you now know the solution to all your problems?

Delusion is harmful. But it is also a human trait.
As conscious humans, who accept that we all live in delusion, develop another trait- Swādhyaya (study of the self)- to continuously break this pattern, overcome the Antarāyās and progress.

The mountain tiger now feeds on the milking cows and calves. This is a saddening reality. The entire ecosystem has imbalanced.

But there are still people following ethical practice. And we need to support them.

If you are such a brand, I will be more than happy to collaborate with you. I would love to visit you (a surprise visit :)), see how it’s all done and then we can together reach out to the people in need of it.

Ghee is an important part of Ayurvedic Diet and medicine. Leaving it isn’t a good option. But readopting ethical and sustainable practices is.
