Don’t ignore the heat - it’s more than just a “hot day.”
With temperatures climbing above 40°C, it is essential to understand the serious risks of heat stroke (వడదెబ్బ). From recognizing the early warning signs like dizziness and nausea to identifying the critical "danger zone" of 104°F+, staying informed can truly save lives. Knowing what to look for is the first step in staying safe during a heatwave.
To protect yourself, follow three simple rules: Avoid the peak sun hours by staying indoors between 11 AM and 4 PM whenever possible. If you are working or spending time outdoors, aim for at least 5 liters of water daily to keep your body functioning. Most importantly, know the signs—if you feel confused, nauseous, or suddenly stop sweating, you need to get to a cool place immediately.
