Upper limb with neck vessel angiogram.

Upper limb CTA is essential for evaluating peripheral arterial disease. Proper preparation, accurate contrast timing, and optimized scan parameters are key for high-quality imaging.
Technical highlights:

Coverage: Arch of aorta to palmar arteries

Patient position: Supine, Head first

Slice thickness: 0.5-1.25 mm

Contrast: -100 ml at - 4.5 ml/s

Bolus tracking: Arch of aorta (~150 HU)

Reconstruction: MPR, MIP, VRT

Systematic assessment helps identify stenosis, occlusions, calcified plaques, and vessel patency, improving diagnostic accuracy.
