Role of Microbes in Aquaculture
Nitrosomonas spp.
• Role: Ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) that convert toxic ammonia (NH₃) to nitrite (NO₂⁻) in biofilters and pond systems.
• Benefits in Aquaculture:
