My child wants only milk but not food.
Mothers on offering milk repeatedly get tired.
And they do so because they cannot bear to see the child crying for milk.
But if every time they offer milk when the child cries for it, the child learns just that- milk will come only on crying

Let’s talk!!

That a overwhelming majority said yes to this,should help us reflect on what’s happening and how can one respond better..

Most mothers don’t shout because they are angry at their children.

They generally shout because nobody has asked them how they are doing for months together.

The child spills water.

And suddenly…
it’s not about the water anymore.

It’s the cooking.
The noise.
The interrupted sleep.
The husband on the phone while she’s doing five things together.
The feeling that everybody needs something from her…
all the time.
That everybody has time for themselves except for her!!

And then the guilt comes.

Because after shouting,
she looks at her child and thinks,

Why did I react like that?
