The glycemic index (GI) is a scale from 0 to 100 that ranks how fast and high carbohydrate foods raise blood sugar levels compared to pure glucose (which is scored at 100).

Low-GI foods digest slowly for steady blood sugar, while high-GI foods cause rapid spikes.

GI Ratings and Categories:

Low GI (1–55): Slow blood sugar rise; examples include lentils, chickpeas, apples, and skim milk.

Medium GI (56–69): Moderate response; examples include whole wheat bread, basmati rice, and bananas.

High GI (70–100): Rapid blood sugar spike; examples include white bread, white rice, and baked potatoes

People with Diabetes/PCOS/Fatty Liver shud avoid high GI Food

Magnesium is an essential mineral that helps your body run over 300 chemical reactions, including turning food into energy, making protein, and building strong DNA. Most of the body's magnesium stays in the bones and soft tissues to keep you healthy.

Its five key roles include producing cellular energy, building strong bones, regulating muscle and nerve function, maintaining a steady heartbeat, and controlling blood sugar levels

Kidney patients should limit daily sodium intake to less than 2,300 mg (often restricted further to 1,500–2,000 mg).
High salt raises blood pressure and causes fluid buildup, forcing damaged kidneys to work harder.

Avoid regular table salt, processed foods, and high-potassium salt substitutes.

Instead, flavor food with natural herbs, spices, and lemon juice.

Why Salt Harms Kidneys:

High blood pressure:

Excess sodium strains blood vessels.Fluid retention: Causes swelling in legs, feet, and face.

Faster decline: Speeds up chronic kidney disease progression.

Foods to Avoid:

Processed and packaged snacks (chips, salted nuts).
Canned soups, vegetables, and meats.

Pickles, sauces, soy sauce, and ketchup.

Commercial salt substitutes (like LoSalt) because they use dangerous levels of potassium chloride.

Note: Important Blood Tests for checking Kidney Health.
Serum Creatinine & Cystatin C are two key blood biomarkers used to evaluate kidney function and calculate the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).

While creatinine is a traditional waste product dependent on muscle mass, cystatin C is a protein produced by all nucleated cells that offers a more independent measure of filtration.

Cystatin C is more reliable than S.Creatinine.

🚨 GYM LOVERS—Pay Attention...! 💪

Are you the one who heard that consuming 1,000 mg Vitamin C before your workout can make your workout better...and also taking it....?👀

Yes of course Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that supports many vital function in body like:-
🍊 Immune function
💪 Collagen & connective tissue health
🛡️ Protection from oxidative stress
🩸 Better absorption of iron from plant foods
✨ Healthy skin & tissue repair

But also taking a high-dose Vitamin C supplement immediately before every workout isn’t necessary for everyone—and more is NOT always better for health....!

Instead, Prefer Natural Vitamin C sources like:
🥝 Kiwi | 🍋 Lemon | 🍊 Orange | 🌿 Amla | ❤️ Guava | 🫑 Capsicum | 🍓 Strawberries | Papaya

💡 Remember: Your real pre-workout power comes from the right combination of carbs + protein + hydration + overall balanced nutrition.
