PCOS/PMOS isn’t just about irregular periods β€” it affects your whole body.

Here are the 3 things that can make it harder to manage, and why they matter πŸ‘‡

Food choices 🍟🍬 β€” too much sugar and refined carbs can cause insulin spikes, which may worsen PCOS symptoms.

Low movement πŸ›‹οΈ β€” being inactive can reduce insulin sensitivity and make weight and hormone balance harder to manage.

Stress + poor sleep πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸŒ™ β€” both can affect hormone regulation and make symptoms feel more intense.

Small changes matter a lot ✨

Here’s why I would not eat this product πŸ‘€

A quick look at the ingredient list tells you a lot. When a product contains hydrogenated vegetable oils or trans fats, it’s a red flag. These fats are created during industrial processing and are known to increase bad cholesterol (LDL) while lowering good cholesterol (HDL). Over time, this combination can raise the risk of heart disease, inflammation, and metabolic problems.

Another ingredient that often shows up in ultra-processed foods is refined wheat flour (maida). Unlike whole grains, refined flour is stripped of its fiber, vitamins, and minerals during processing. Because it digests very quickly, it can cause rapid spikes in blood sugar, which may contribute to energy crashes, increased hunger, weight gain, and a higher risk of insulin resistance when consumed frequently.

Highly processed ingredients might improve shelf life and texture, but they often come at the cost of real nutritional value. Choosing foods made with whole ingredients and minimal processing is usually a much better option for long-term health. 🌱

Always read the label. Your health starts with what you put on your plate. πŸ’š

Let's Bust a Myth: Not all PCOS Cases Include Ovarian Cysts! πŸš«πŸ’«
Contrary to popular belief, PCOS diagnosis doesn't always involve ovarian cysts. Here are three key criteria for diagnosing PCOS:
1️⃣ Oligo-ovulation or Anovulation: Irregular or absent ovulation, leading to menstrual irregularities.
2️⃣ Clinical and/or Biochemical Hyperandrogenism: Symptoms like excess facial hair or acne, along with elevated androgen levels.
3️⃣ Polycystic Ovaries on Ultrasound: Multiple small follicles on the ovaries, typically seen in PCOS patients.
Understanding these nuances can lead to better diagnosis and management. πŸ’‘
