സ്തനാർബുദ ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം കയ്യിലുണ്ടാകുന്ന വീക്കം അഥവാ 'ലിംഫെഡീമ' (Lymphedema) അവഗണിക്കേണ്ട ഒന്നല്ല. കാൻസർ ചികിത്സയുടെ ഭാഗമായി ലിംഫ് നോഡുകൾ നീക്കം ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴോ റേഡിയേഷൻ തെറാപ്പി മൂലമോ ലിംഫ് ദ്രാവകം ശരിയായ രീതിയിൽ ഒഴുകിപ്പോകാതെ ഒരിടത്ത് അടിഞ്ഞുകൂടുമ്പോഴാണ് ഈ അവസ്ഥ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നത്.
