The Parents Orientation Programme on Disability Issues under Rehabilitation and Entitlement Access for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) also focused on the importance of health and hygiene practices for children and individuals with disabilities. The programme created awareness among parents about personal hygiene, nutrition, sanitation, regular health check-ups, and preventive healthcare measures to ensure the well-being of PWDs. It encouraged parents to maintain a clean and healthy environment, promote healthy habits, and access available healthcare and rehabilitation services for the overall development and better quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Can a more aware frontline worker create a more inclusive community? Absolutely.

A successful One Day Sensitisation & Training Program on Disability Issues for ASHA Workers and Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) was organized by SADBHABANA at the Meeting Hall of CHC, Jhumpura.

The program aimed to strengthen the role of frontline workers in community-based rehabilitation, early identification, support services, and inclusive care for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).

Through engaging sessions and meaningful discussions, participants gained valuable insights on disability awareness, community support mechanisms, and the importance of ensuring dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for every individual.

By empowering ASHA and AWW workers at the grassroots level, SADBHABANA continues to build stronger, more compassionate, and inclusive communities.

With a vision to build a more inclusive and supportive community, SADBHABANA successfully organized a One-Day Sensitisation Training Program on Disability Issues at the Jhumpura G.P. Office for dedicated ASHA Workers and Anganwadi Workers (AWWs).

The training program focused on:

โ€ข Creating awareness about different types of disabilities and their early identification
โ€ข Enhancing understanding of the rights, entitlements, and government schemes available for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
โ€ข Strengthening the capacity of frontline workers to provide support, referral, and community-based rehabilitation services
โ€ข Promoting inclusive practices while reducing stigma and discrimination in the community
โ€ข Encouraging better coordination among health, nutrition, education, and community stakeholders for the welfare and inclusion of persons with disabilities

Through this initiative, SADBHABANA continues to strengthen grassroots awareness and empower frontline workers to become catalysts of positive social change.

SADBHABANA Organized A One Day Sensitisation Program for Women & Adolescent Girls on Disability Issues under Rehabilitation and Entitlement Access for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) was conducted at Nahabeda G.P. Office. The program aimed to create awareness on disability rights, inclusion, rehabilitation services, government schemes, and entitlement access for Persons with Disabilities. Women and adolescent girls actively participated in the session and gained knowledge about early identification, support services, social inclusion, and the importance of community participation in empowering persons with disabilities
