If someone has always been on the heavier side, is their ‘normal’ different?
Standard weight ranges are based on population data.
They don’t account for:
• Body composition
• Fat distribution
• Metabolic health
• Individual variability
Evidence shows that:
Even a 5–10% reduction in body weight can improve:
• Insulin sensitivity
• Blood pressure
• Lipid profile
Health improves well before “ideal weight” is reached.
So instead of focusing only on a target number,
shift the focus to-
* metabolic health
* functional improvement
This approach is more sustainable and more effective.
The real question is not:
“What is my ideal weight?”
But:
“What is the next meaningful change I can sustain?
