Raksha Bandhan — a bond of protection.

We usually think of Rakhi as a promise between a brother and sister:

“I will stand by you. I will protect this bond.”

But over time, I have started looking at this festival a little differently.

At Amalfarm, there is another relationship that we feel needs protection every single day — the relationship between the farmer and the customer.

A farmer trusts us with what they have grown with months of hard work.

A customer trusts us to bring something that is authentic, responsibly sourced and actually connected to the place it comes from.

Both sides are trusting us.

And honestly, this trust cannot be built by celebrating Raksha Bandhan once a year.

It has to be earned every day.

By being transparent.
By keeping our word.
By standing with farmers when things don't go as planned.
And by making sure our customers get what we promised them.

For us, farmers are not just suppliers.
And customers are not just buyers.

They are two ends of the same relationship that we are trying to build.

Maybe that is what Raksha Bandhan means to us at Amalfarm — protecting relationships that matter.

This Kharif season 2026, we have started 𝗚𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗵𝗼𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟱𝟬+ 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗯𝗵𝘂𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹, with an expected sourcing of around 550 MT.

But for us, this is not only about sourcing 550 MT of paddy.

We are partnering with an FPC to jointly work on the business model of Gobindobhog rice, with a vision to help take the FPC to ₹𝟱𝟬+ 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.

This is closely aligned with Amalfarm’s vision:

There was a time when food was not just something we cooked to fill our stomach.

It was an emotion.

The rice had a story.
The dal had a place.
The spices had a smell that reminded us of home.
Every meal somehow carried the love of Maa and Baba.

Today, somewhere between our busy lives and broken supply chains, that connection is slowly getting lost.

While India celebrates its 80th Independence Day, our farmers are quietly doing what they have done for generations — growing food with patience, care and hope.

Our Kalanamak fields, transplanted on 15 July, are now around 𝟯𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱 and moving through the active tillering stage. The crop is looking healthy and well established.

At Amalfarm, our work does not stop after the seed reaches the soil.

We stay connected with farmers through the season — understanding the crop, observing the field, listening to what farmers are experiencing and working with them on the ground.

India marks this milestone on August 15, 2026, celebrating 79 years of freedom.
This Independence Day is a little more special for us at Amalfarm.

That’s why Amalfarm is building **single-origin supply chains for India’s native crops — from Ground Zero to the world. 🌾**

From Gobindobhog & Kalanamak paddy fields to farmer institutions, aggregation systems and Makhana packhouses, we are working at the source to ensure that **origin, quality, traceability and consistency** are built into the supply chain.

Building at Ground Zero was never easy.
