A LANDMARK DAY FOR AYUSH IN BENGAL!

29 May 2026 — A date the Ayush sector in Bengal will remember.

The CII Eastern Region Ayush Subcommittee Meeting wasn’t just a meeting. It was a movement.

The room was packed. The energy was electric. Industry titans, manufacturers, practitioners, policymakers, innovators — the entire Ayush ecosystem, together, in one room, for one mission.

Dr. Debasish Ghosh, Director of Ayurveda, Dept. of Health & FW, GoWB, didn’t just attend. He engaged, he inspired, and he laid out the State Government’s powerful vision for Ayush. He applauded CII for building the platform where industry, government, academia, and healthcare now shape Ayush policy together.

Earlier, we met Shri N S Nigam, IAS, Principal Secretary, Health & FW, GoWB, to present CII’s comprehensive report on Ayush in West Bengal.

A Joint CII–GoWB Task Force on Ayush is now on the table. From dialogue to action. From vision to ex*****on.

This is how revolutions begin. With collaboration. With commitment. With a shared dream of making Bengal the Ayush Capital of India.

Glad to meet Shri Narayan Swaroop Nigam, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal.

In my capacity as Chairman, Ayush, CII – Eastern Region, I handed over key CII recommendations and the AYUSH Manufacturing Conclave Detailed Outcome Report — a strategic blueprint to unlock Bengal’s potential in traditional medicine, wellness manufacturing, and global Ayush exports.

We had an extensive discussion on big, bold plans to position Bengal as the national hub for Ayush innovation, manufacturing, and integrative healthcare. The vision from the new Government is clear and the commitment is inspiring.

The goal: A Healthier, Happier Bengal — where traditional wisdom powers modern wellness for every citizen.
