A routine health check-up can change the course of life.
Rajarshi a 37-year-old software professional works in Bangalore. He underwent a routine corporate health check-up.
He had no symptoms, but an ultrasound unexpectedly revealed a small tumor in his left kidney.
Further evaluation confirmed an early-stage kidney cancer.
Instead of getting treated in Bangalore, he chose to return home to Kolkata for his treatment.
We performed a Robotic Partial Nephrectomy, removing only the cancer while preserving the healthy kidney.
He was discharged just two days after surgery, and today, on his follow-up visit, his biopsy report brought the news every patient hopes to hear—the cancer was completely removed, the margins were clear, and it was a low-grade tumor.
This journey reminds us of three important lessons:
✅ Routine health check-ups save lives. Many kidney cancers are silent and are detected only by chance, when they are still curable.
✅ Modern robotic surgery allows precise removal of the tumor while preserving the kidney even in complex tumors. It offers a faster recovery and excellent cancer control.
✅ Quality healthcare is available close to home. While many people travel to other cities for treatment, this patient made the reverse journey—from Bangalore back to Kolkata for a complex surgery.
Wishing him a long, healthy, and cancer-free life.
