IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE | NCAHP, Govt. of India

Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy are independent, recognized healthcare professions under the National Commission for Allied Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act, 2021.

✅ Physiotherapists are authorized to practice independently, provide examination, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and health promotion using evidence-based physical modalities.
✅ Occupational Therapists deliver client-centred care to enhance functional independence and participation in daily life.

⚠️ Both professions do not prescribe medicines and must strictly work within their defined scope of practice.

📜 Compliance with the NCAHP Act, rules, and regulations is mandatory. Violations may attract penal action under Section 59 of the Act.

This notice reinforces professional identity, autonomy, and accountability.
