They may be associated with leg pain, heaviness, swelling, skin changes, itching, cramps, and—in advanced cases—even venous ulcers or bleeding.

Early evaluation can help identify the underlying vein problem and guide the right treatment.

A reliable dialysis access can make a major difference in long-term treatment.

An AV Graft (Arteriovenous Graft) was successfully created for a dialysis patient by Dr. Jayanta Das, Vascular Surgeon, providing vascular access for ongoing haemodialysis.

AV grafts may be considered when a patient’s own blood vessels are not suitable for creating an AV fistula. The choice of dialysis access depends on the patient’s vascular condition and requires specialist evaluation.

Healthy blood flow delivers oxygen and essential nutrients that support tissue repair and wound healing. When circulation is reduced, wounds—especially on the feet, ankles, or legs—may heal slowly or remain open for longer.

A Vascular Doppler Test is a simple ultrasound-based test that helps assess how well blood is moving through your arteries and veins. It can help detect problems such as reduced circulation, narrowed or blocked vessels, blood clots, PAD, and certain venous conditions.

If you have leg pain while walking, swelling, cold feet, non-healing wounds, skin colour changes, or other signs of poor circulation, your doctor may advise a Doppler evaluation.

The test is usually non-invasive, painless, needle-free, and radiation-free.

Early diagnosis can make a significant difference in planning the right vascular treatment.

Blocked or narrowed leg arteries can reduce blood flow and may cause leg pain while walking, rest pain, non-healing wounds, or poor circulation.

Angioplasty is a minimally invasive procedure that can help widen narrowed or blocked arteries and improve blood flow to the legs. In selected cases, a stent may also be used to help keep the artery open.

Early evaluation is important—especially if leg pain persists or a wound is not healing.
