Pain Near the Tailbone? Recurrent Boils or Pus Discharge? It May Be Pilonidal Sinus.

A young patient recently came to us with severe pain and repeated infection near the tailbone area, making it difficult for him to sit or work comfortably.

After proper evaluation, the diagnosis was Pilonidal Sinus, a condition commonly seen in young men, students, IT professionals, and people who sit for long hours.

Instead of repeated dressings and temporary treatments, we performed definitive surgical removal of the sinus with advanced flap closure technique.

✅ Complete removal of infected tract
✅ Proper reconstruction to prevent recurrence
✅ Faster healing
✅ Relief from repeated pain and discharge

The surgery was performed successfully, and the patient is now on the road to recovery.

⚠️ Do not ignore these symptoms:
• Pain or swelling near the tailbone
• Recurrent boils in the buttock cleft
• Pus or blood discharge
• Difficulty sitting for long periods

Early treatment can prevent repeated infections and major complications.

🩺 Inguinal Hernia: Don’t Ignore the Bulge

A small swelling in the groin may seem harmless at first.
But over time, it can grow, cause pain, and even become dangerous.

This condition is called Inguinal Hernia—and it does not heal on its own.

⚠️ Common Warning Signs
A bulge in the groin that increases on coughing or standing
Pain or heaviness while walking, lifting, or standing for long
Discomfort after meals or by evening
Sudden severe pain or irreducible swelling (🚨 emergency)

❌ Myths to Break
“It will go away with medicines” ❌
“I can live with it forever” ❌
“Surgery is very risky” ❌

👉 Truth: Hernia surgery is safe, effective, and definitive.

✅ Modern Hernia Surgery: Safe & Painless
Today, inguinal hernia surgery is:
✔️ Minimally invasive (Laparoscopic)
✔️ Small cuts, less pain
✔️ Early walking & faster recovery
✔️ Low recurrence when done properly
Most patients go home the same or next day.

🛑 Why Early Surgery Matters
Delaying surgery can lead to:
Intestinal obstruction
Strangulation (loss of blood supply)
Emergency surgery with higher risk

👉 Early planned surgery = safer outcome

👨‍⚕️ Your Health, Your Move
If you or your loved one notices a groin swelling or pain—
don’t wait, don’t ignore.

A timely consultation can prevent complications and ensure a smooth recovery.

🟢 Safe Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery Begins with the “Critical View of Safety”

Gallbladder removal (Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy) is one of the most common surgeries performed today.
But safety is never about speed—it’s about precision.

🔑 What is the Critical View of Safety (CVS)?

The Critical View of Safety is a globally accepted surgical principle that ensures the gallbladder is removed only after clearly identifying vital structures—reducing the risk of bile duct injury.

✅ Why the Critical View of Safety Matters

✔ Prevents injury to the bile duct
✔ Reduces complications and need for re-surgery
✔ Ensures accurate identification of cystic duct & artery
✔ Considered the gold standard in modern gallbladder surgery

⚠️ Rushing Surgery Can Be Risky

Many complications in gallbladder surgery occur due to:
❌ Inadequate exposure
❌ Misidentification of anatomy
❌ Skipping the Critical View of Safety

👉 CVS is not optional—it is essential.

🩺 My Commitment to Safe Surgery
Under my care, every laparoscopic cholecystectomy is performed following strict safety protocols, including:
🔹 Proper dissection
🔹 Clear anatomical identification
🔹 Mandatory Critical View of Safety before clipping or cutting

Because your safety comes first—always.

📌 Remember
🟢 No Critical View = No Clipping
🟢 Safety today prevents complications tomorrow

🌷 Patient story- Pain Meets Fear, Compassion Must Speak

A 18 years old girl , full of dreams, energy, and plans for her future.
But for almost a year, one thing kept interrupting her life —
repeated episodes of sharp right-sided abdominal pain.

Every attack meant
❌ missing college
❌ skipping dance practice
❌ losing confidence

Finally, investigations confirmed Recurrent Appendicitis.
Surgery was the clear answer — medically, the decision was simple.
But emotionally… there was a pause.

With a hesitant voice, she asked me:

> “Doctor, will there be a big scar? I’m scared… not of surgery, but of the mark it might leave.”

In that moment, I wasn’t just treating pain.
I was looking at a young girl worried about her body image, her confidence, her tomorrow.

I gently told her:

> “My goal is to heal you, not leave a reminder of your struggle. We’ll do this through tiny keyhole cuts. You’ll get your health back — and your confidence too.”

She trusted. We did a laparoscopic appendectomy.
Three tiny incisions.
Minimal pain.
Quick recovery.

A week later, she walked into the clinic smiling.
She lifted her kurti slightly and whispered,

> “Doctor, the scars are barely there… I can still wear whatever I love.”

That happiness — that relief —
is why minimally invasive surgery is not just a technique.
It’s a promise to restore life without taking away self-belief.

Sometimes, healing isn’t only about removing disease.
Sometimes, it’s about giving someone back their confidence, their freedom, their smile.
And moments like these remind me why I chose this profession. ❤️🩺
