Beautiful Bend of Ayurveda and Japanese Tradition 🌿✨
It was a truly wonderful cookery presentation — a traditional Japanese delicacy, Dango, exquisitely prepared and presented by Keiko at Greens Ayurveda,Azhiyur, kerala , India. highlighting seven distinct flavors through a variety of sauces.
What made it even more special was the thoughtful way she infused Ayurvedic nutritional wisdom from Greens Ayurveda into this Japanese culinary art. 🌸
One of the most delightful and meaningful elements was ginger — featured as ginger-infused vinegar and salt with sugar, symbolizing pickled ginger. In Ayurveda, ginger (Ārdraka) holds a sacred place as a natural digestive stimulant. “लवणार्द्रक भक्षणै:” Classical texts even recommend consuming ginger with a pinch of salt before meals to kindle Agni (the digestive fire) — a principle Keiko beautifully reflected in her creation. 🌿
Each ingredient she used — sesame, jaggery, soybean powder, and green peas — enriched the dish with wholesome nutrition, protein, and vitality. The presentation concluded gracefully with Japanese matcha tea, harmonizing the experience with its calm and grounding energy. 🍵
Altogether, it was a thoughtful, health-conscious, and innovative culinary journey at Greens Ayurveda, blending the essence of Ayurveda with the elegance of Japanese tradition. 💫
