Hey, love
You haven't changed a bit
But it's just that,
The curl of your lip is now a straight line
You hide beneath the curtains of saying "everything's fine"
You fight, you quarrel with your mind every day
Hey, love, are you okay?
Break the walls, let the curtains down
Scream, shout, cry, laugh
Say what you feel, but say it out loud.
Paint a rainbow out of your colours, paint the sky pink
Hey, love, don't stop to think.
It's okay to cry, it's okay to feel
Humanise yourself, do that at least.
You're a blooming flower in the fall,
You're a mirror, reflecting through it all.
Be glass, show and shatter,
Make yourself your canvas, and paint different colours.
Places to visit, the whole world left to see.
Hey, love. Do it for me?
Feel. Express. Don't hold it in.
Hey, love. Stop and think.
You're a dew drop in a sunny morning,
A sunflower field in a barren land
You're the stars in a moonless night,
A melody. An orchestra.
Hey, love. You hold constellations within yourself, you're a universe of one.
You're a child of the cosmos, the lover of the sun.
Spreading light.
Spreading warmth.
The world needs you. On a cold winter morning.
On a bright day.
So come on, and say what you need to say.
Hey, love.
In this world full of poetry,
You're the last line.
The one that always matters.
