Is your teen complaining of a racing heart? 💓 It is completely understandable to be concerned, but teen palpitations are often not serious!
Most of the time, a racing heart is triggered by everyday factors:
💧 Dehydration: Not enough fluids makes the heart work harder. (Solution: Hydrate!)
😰 Anxiety & Stress: Exams and emotional worries can trigger palpitations. (Solution: Manage stress)
⚡ High Caffeine: Energy drinks can cause a fast or irregular heartbeat. (Solution: Limit caffeine)
🚨 One Major Red Flag: Fainting (syncope) during physical activity. If your child passes out while running or playing sports, they need a pediatric ECG immediately. Don't ignore fainting during exercise!
