Then, Feng Shui is the cure through nature’s forces or what we terms Earthly Energies & their interactions. Classical Feng Shui –Xiang Xue (not the cosmetic modern Feng Shui as commonly heard of) can bring about remedial measures or cures. Feng Shui in the truer sense is harmonizing the family members staying within a dwelling / house or for people working in a work place, office, shop or factory. We also consider the external & internal environmental factors of place of house or workplace during the process of audit. Applying Feng Shui principles is akin to offering solutions like a doctor offer medicines for certain illness. This is very much possible. Understanding the principles of Feng Shui

The basis of study is evolved around the 5 Cosmic Forces (or Elements). These are namely Fire, Earth, Metal, Wood & Water. We can imagine them to be physical elements (or symbolic representations) that are seen & imagined in our mother earth, but beyond this imagination, we can also define them as cosmic energies that govern our earth & universe. These energies in Chinese are what we call as “Qi”. Qi is influenced by various planets, Stars & Moon and this reflects & influences the physical environment here in our earth, every place & all the times on all living forms. These Qi are in fact “Yin & Yang” in nature so these distinct energies influence the life forms & environments (both internal & External). Understanding the Yin & Yang dynamics is thus very important underlying principle of Chinese Metaphysics. The influencing relationships between these elements or “Qi” are in accordance with the cycles (Timeliness) that is to say if the relationship between elements (Wu Xing) is that of producing, controlling or weakening. For example Wood produce Fire, Fire produces Earth, Earth then produces Metal, Metal producing Water & then back to Water producing Wood. This is how we can imagine the elemental relationship in a cyclical form. Similarly we have controlling & weakening cycles. Now, each of these elements tells us infinite things, some of which are events, potential, seasons, personality traits, psychological behaviors & attitudes, individual characteristics of person external environments surrounding our residential place where we live or work, internal environment within our house and if these energies interact in a beneficial manner or not. Studying & understanding the relationships, association / interactions between elements (Qi), when & what type exists, in what strengths, which element & elemental interaction outcome, favors or does not, is the doctrine.
