Seeraga Samba gets its name from its cumin-seed shape and its rich, natural aroma. Grown during the Samba season, this traditional rice comes straight from the Cauvery delta, Thanjavur, Trichy, and Nagapattinam.

Small grains that absorb ghee and masalas beautifully, making it the soul of biryani. Light on the stomach, easy to digest, and full of flavour. From biryani to pulao, lemon rice, or even simple steamed rice. Its taste speaks for itself.

This isn’t just traditional rice. Your aroma and taste will tell you why. 🍚✨

Rice is a staple in our daily meals, but not all rice is the same. Polished rice loses most of its nutrients when the bran layer is removed. Unpolished rice, with its natural bran intact, retains more vitamins, minerals, and a wholesome, earthy aroma. Semi-polished rice lies in between, offering a balance of nutrition and taste. Choosing unpolished rice means selecting food that is closer to its natural state.

Ever wondered why so many traditional rice varieties have the word “Samba” in their name?
Samba doesn’t describe the grain, it marks the harvest season.
Rice harvested during the Samba season (August to January), especially from the Cauvery delta regions like Vellapallam, Nagapattinam, and Tiruchirappalli, carries this name.
So when you hear Mapillai Samba or Seeraga Samba, you’re also hearing a story of the season it was grown in.

Mapillai Samba is more than rice, it’s tradition, strength, and respect for the land.
Once used to nourish grooms before marriage rituals, this drought-resistant, chemical-free rice grows naturally in the Samba season.
A grain that supports farmers and healthy living.

When we say ghee, we imagine that rich aroma and grainy texture!
But there’s a special kind called A2 ghee, made from our native cow’s milk, using the traditional bilona method (hand-churned).

It’s easy to digest and naturally rich in nutrients, pure and wholesome!
So next time you see a nei dosa, don’t say “no”, just enjoy it in the right measure!

Long ago, the fertile lands around the Ponni River were lush with paddy fields. The harvests from this region carried the essence of the river, and that’s how Ponni rice got its name.
Among its many varieties, one stands out: Ponni Kai Kuththal Rice (hand-pounded rice). Unlike machine-polished rice, this is pounded using traditional ural and ulakkai, gently removing only the husk while keeping the bran layer intact. Every grain retains its natural vitamins, minerals, and earthy aroma.
With its soft texture, light brown shade, and unmistakable traditional flavor, Ponni Kai Kuththal Rice brings back the nostalgic taste of our ancestors, pure, wholesome, and full of life.
