An orientation session on SNL Academy for international nursing career opportunities.

The placement Cell of New Mangala College of Nursing organised an orientation session on SNL Academy (Simple Nursing Lectures) was attended by the 4th Year B.Sc. Nursing students. The session focused on providing information about various nursing licensing examinations and the coaching services offered by SNL Academy.

The resource person Dr. Nowfel PM explained the academy's unique learning approach, highlighted coaching programs for HAAD/DOH, DHA, Prometric, Pearson VUE, NHRA, and MOH examinations, helping students understand the opportunities available for international nursing careers.

The students actively participated in the session and gained valuable knowledge regarding licensing examinations, preparation strategies, and career prospects abroad. The session was informative and beneficial, motivating students to explore professional opportunities in the global healthcare sector.

Free Health Checkup and Eye Checkup Camp

NSS unit - New Mangala College of Nursing in association with the Department of Community Health Nursing and Department of Optometry organised free Health Checkup and Eye check up camp @ Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School, Sands Pit, Thota Bengre.
The program was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Umalakshmi , Headmistress ,D. K. Z.P.Higher Primary School Sands Pit, Thota Bengre, Mangalore.

Parent Teachers Meet-2026

New Mangala College of Nursing, Mangalore, conducted a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) for first semester B.Sc. Nursing students on 25th May 2025. The meeting aimed to discuss student progress, address parent concerns, about upcoming university examination and foster collaboration between parents and the teaching faculty.

The program was coordinated by Mrs. Kavyashree K class coordinator of the first and second semester B.Sc. Nursing programme.Prof. Swetha Kiran , Principal In Charge of New Mangala College of Nursing, explained the importance of Parent-Teacher Meetings. Feedback was collected from each student and their parent.

Faculty members shared individual student performance details, along with academic and clinical feedback. Parents interacted with teachers to gain insights into the college's programmes and to provide support for their children's academic development.The program was conducted by Ms. Meghana , Ms. Khushi welcomed the gathering and Ms. Rachana delivered the vote of thanks.

The SNA Unit of New Mangala College of Nursing and Mangala School of Nursing observed International Nurses Day titled “Nurseverse 2026” on 28th April 2026. The event was graced by dignitaries including Prof. Subrahmanya Nayak, Principal, NMCON and MSON, Dr. Bharath K. H. Principal, MCOP and Prof. Geethalakshmi, Vice-Principal, MCAHS and MCPMS. Nursing students actively participated in the program. As a highlight of the celebration, students took a pledge for organ donation awareness, reinforcing the nursing commitment to social responsibility and healthcare advocacy. Following the formal session, various cultural performances were conducted, in which students participated enthusiastically and showcased their talents. The program was a grand success, enjoyed by all, and reflected the spirit, unity, and dedication of the nursing community.
