Devika Yoga Classes I am a Yoga teacher, MSc in yogic science.. specialsition in Pre/Post natal Yoga, prop Yoga, Pair Yoga, Traditional Yoga, Medical yoga snd clinical yoga.

I am a Yoga trainer. Besides the regular yoga classes that I have been taking from past two decades, I am extensively studying, researching and training Prenatal (Pregnancy) Yoga. Few of my students had some problems related to their pregnancy and by practicing prenatal yoga all of them have had normal and natural delivery. During pregnancy body goes through many changes, which creates mental and

physical stress. Myself being a mother of two I understand the challenges of being Pregnant. I don't take cohort prenatal classes because I understand the complications and supervision one needs. I train one individual at a time. As per their stages of pregnancy and other individualistic factors I design the schedule and asanas for expecting mother to connect with the mind-body experience in order to find greater freedom and joy during pregnancy and birth. To avoid mundane and to keep the session interesting I make modifications and gently pursue them to do traditional yoga poses with variations if they feel pain or discomforts. This where my 20 years of teaching yoga comes handy. Additionally, I make use of props like yoga wheel, foam roller, swiss ball, belts, pillows, different wooden bricks, sticks, yoga chair etc. which help the body really let go and relax back into better alignment. There are many benefits to prenatal yoga such as:

*Improved sleep
*Reduced stress
*Increased strength, flexibility and endurance
*Decreased lower back pain
*Decreased nausea
*Decreased carpal tunnel syndrome
*Decreased headaches
*Reduced risk of preterm labor

*Lowered risk of intrauterine growth restriction (condition that slows the baby’s growth)

All my students have told me that It's helped them prepare physically and mentally for the upcoming birth and have had more comfortable labor because of proper breathing and relaxation techniques.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to the management, principal, faculty members, and students of A. J. Institute of Engineering & Technology for giving me the wonderful opportunity to deliver an expert talk on “The Science of Breath, Mind & Performance: Calm Mind, Sharp Brain, Successful Life.”

My sincere thanks to the Department of Chemistry, A. J. Institute of Engineering & Technology for the warm hospitality, excellent organization, and enthusiastic participation of the students. It was truly a meaningful and enriching experience to interact with such bright young minds.

I feel truly honoured to have been recognized on 26/03/2026, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, by the Department of Women & Child Development, Karnataka Rajya Mahila Abhivriddhi Nigama, Rotary Club of Mangaluru Central, and Global Green Eco Foundation, Mangaluru.

I feel truly blessed to have been invited by Sri Sharada Mahila Vrunda to deliver a speech on “How to Live Peacefully and Manage Stress in Today’s Fast-Paced Life” during their Annual Meeting.

It was a wonderful experience to connect with so many graceful and inspiring ladies. The interaction session that followed made the program even more meaningful, as it gave me the opportunity to listen, share, and learn together.

My heartfelt thanks to the President, Satyavathi, for entrusting me with this opportunity. I also offer my deep gratitude to Swamiji, whose blessings added strength and positivity to the occasion.

This morning, I had the wonderful opportunity to deliver a session on Yoga and the importance of breath at P.A POLYTECHNIC College Nadupadavu, Mangaluru,for the first-year Diploma Students of the Academic year 2025 - 2026 as part of their induction program day.

I would like to sincerely thank Prof. K. P. On the occasion of International Yoga Day – 21.06.2025,
a vibrant yoga session was conducted by me under the banner of Devika Yoga Classes at Indira Priyadarshini Vanitha Vana Park, Lalbagh, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Mangalore Central and Global Echo Green Foundation.

It was an honour to have distinguished guests with us –

Former Mangaluru Commissioner Prabhakar Sharma.

It was a great honour to be felicitated this morning on the occasion of International Yoga Day by the Indian Red Cross Society. My heartfelt thanks to President Shri Shantaram Shetty C.A. and Principal Dr. Jagadeesh Bala from the Department of Physical Education for recognising my contribution in the field of Yoga and my humble service to society.

Receiving this recognition was truly a privilege, and I remain ever grateful for this encouragement.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a special yoga session was organised by Govt. Pre-University College for Girls. Balmatta, Mangalore..It was heartening to see enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers in the practice of Yogasanas and Pranayama.

My heartfelt gratitude to Principal Smt. Vanitha Devadiga for giving me the opportunity to conduct this session.

It was a truly enriching experience to practice alongside the college students. A special appreciation to the girls who performed the asanas with such grace and confidence — you made the session even more inspiring. 🙏🏼🧘🏻‍♀️
