A knocked out milk tooth should NEVER be put back in the socket/gums. Here's why and what to do instead:

1.) Make the child rinse the mouth with cold water.

2.) If you see any blood, apply a little pressure on the area with a clean gauze or cotton.

3.) If in doubt, call your Pediatric Dentist.

BUT, if all is good, just wait for the new tooth to replace the old one.

 NEVER ever try to put the milk tooth back in the socket, as it may damage the developing tooth. It's loose and the child may swallow it...
