This store was fun to go through - I saw some familiar products and some that are new to me.

are already my favs and I love that they had so many to choose from. I picked up the balance oil capsules as this is one that I’ve wanted to try.

I’m curious about products. I’m always excited to try something from Europe.

And focusing more on my hair lately so is on my try list.

I love a good cookie and the oatmeal one was šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

I think still has my vote and honestly, all grocery shopping these days feels elevated (or at least the prices).

Bottom line - definitely visit but if you don’t live close, don’t stress. Look for organic local Whole Foods wherever you live. Visit a farmers market when you can. And shop the perimeter of the store first.

Here are some of my favorite quick bites to grab:
🄚 hard boiled eggs (always w hot sauce)
šŸ pear or apple with peanut butter (or mix plain Greek yogurt with organic PB for a high protein dip)
šŸ§€ string cheese or Parmesan chunks + meat sticks
šŸŽƒ roasted pepitas (I always keep a jar on hand)
šŸ„’ veggies + rice crackers + humus
🄭 jerkey + a few nuts
🄣 single serving cottage cheese (often w spicy tuna + greens…maybe getting into lunch category now)

I could go on but I’d love to hear what your go-to’s are!

Stress is inevitable but how we react is what makes the difference between feeling like the world is collapsing or having an ā€œI’ve got thisā€ reaction.

My breathwork practice has helped me considerably; I find myself taking bigger breaths when I’m frustrated or stressed.

And of course I do have my moments, like this morning, when I forgot my breath is right there.

Start to make breathwork a practice when you’re not stressed so it becomes a natural response when you are.

Just read this quote, ā€œA calm mind is a sign of strengthā€ and what immediately came to mind is how many times I’ve shown calm on the outside and people around me noticing how ā€œstrongā€ I am (or look!) but I know the real story. 😊

Sometimes ā€œfakingā€ the calm is good - like when a child falls and you don’t react so they don’t react.

Or looking calm as you prepare to give a speech, teach a class or give a presentation so you use the adrenaline to fuel you.

But sometimes the calm outside doesn’t reflect a calm inside. Thinking about mental health this month and wanted to put this reminder out there…it’s ok to not be ok. And when you voice the things that aren’t ok, sometimes you start to feel a little bit more ok. And then your nervous system starts to regulate. You sleep better. You do feel calmer and stronger on the outside and also on the inside.

Call a friend. Or check on a friend. I’ve had some generous ears around me. I’m happy to be that for you too. 🧔

Big goals matter.
They give us direction, motivation, and something to work toward.

But when it comes to our health, it’s usually not one big decision that changes everything. It’s the small things we do over and over again. Kinda boring, right?! šŸ˜‰

Going for the walk.
Drinking the water.
Getting to bed a little earlier.
Adding vegetables to the plate.
Taking the deep breath before reacting.
Showing up even when motivation fades.

Our habits quietly shape how we feel, how we age, our energy, our strength, and our mindset.

Goals are exciting.
Daily habits are what transform us.

Did anyone tell you when you became a mom you would spend a good part of your days at the kitchen counter?! šŸ˜„

Did you also know that if you take oatmeal, peanut butter, protein powder, shredded apples, cinnamon, and a dash of maple syrup, you get a delicious protein ball?
