On 18th June 2026, the lecture delivered by Dr Vijay Shah was highly informative with meaningful learning on “How to See the Action of Remedy”.
1. Understanding Aphorism 95 :-
Aphorism 95 with practical clinical examples : Various rheumatic conditions, including cases involving abdominal muscle involvement where Phytolacca proved useful.
2. Construction of the Concomitant Symptom :-
Every individual case presents certain uncommon, peculiar, and characteristic symptoms, a differentiating feature. These individualizing features help distinguish one case from another and form the basis of remedy selection in both acute and chronic diseases.
Eupatorium Per was discussed as an example to demonstrate how concomitant symptoms are identified and incorporated into the case analysis.
The main features are Pains as if bones are dislocated, Oedema extremities with rheumatism and Wrist joint affection.
Another case of Eupatorium Per was also shown of Severe ankylosing spondylosis with redness and inflammation of skin & callosities.
3. Assessing the Action of the Remedy :-
Referring to Aphorism 200, explained how the action of a remedy should be evaluated. The observing changes in local affections, which provide an inestimable and indispensable advantage in understanding the progress of cure. True healing is reflected when the disease improves at its seat, indicating correction at the underlying miasmatic level.
4. Importance of External Physical Examination :-
The lecture concluded with a detailed discussion on the value of external physical examination, which often reveals important characteristic signs that may guide remedy selection.
Examples are :
Ingrowing toenails & Distorted nails, Dry skin behind the ears, Excoriation marks on skin of itching, Itching and inflammatory changes in eyes.
